The Bisons are owned by Rich Products, Inc., which also owns the Wichita Wranglers. The ballpark was built in 1988 and has both luxury suites and club seating. Naming rights were sold to NorthAmeriCare Products, but the company later wanted to back out of the deal and the remainder of the term was sold to Dunn Tire. In 2008, they were purchased by the local Coca Cola bottling firm.
In 2003, as part of a $5 million capital campaign with Erie County, the team demolished the right-field bleachers and replaced them with a grass berm and a multi-level party deck.
In 2002, Buffalo and Erie County reached an agreement to turn control of the ballpark over to the county. The ballpark has been a financial drain on the city, but should do better under county control.
The plan calls for the city to continue its debt payments of $500,000 to $1 million each year through 2006. The county would take over responsibility for operating losses and capital improvements. The Bisons could continue to lease the ballpark for $1 per year through 2008 and would pay operating and utility costs. If costs escalate beyond an agreed upon point, the county will absorb the losses. The point is determined partially by revenues from nonbaseball ballpark events.
The ballpark features Pettibones Grill where parties may be held. The cost is $200 to $300 per 12-person party, depending upon the amenities selected.
Suites lease for $325 per game and include 12 tickets or $750 with 30 tickets. (Facilities, Baseball, Minor League, Professional Sports, Venue)
