Sports Fan Brand Studies

Since 2017, SBRnet has been conducting our proprietary consumer sports fan study twice yearly. These consumer surveys were conducted online among a representative panel of U.S. consumers ages 13 or older. SBRnet uses a completed survey sample of 5,000 – 6,400 depending on the length and number of questions included.

These Special Data Extracts display the fan study information in a cross-tabbed format across all teams within the league providing you with an alternative view to perform comparative data analysis on a team-by-team basis focused on 9 specifically curated consumer brands/services. Since 2017, SBRnet has been conducting our proprietary consumer sports fan study twice yearly. These consumer surveys were conducted online among a representative panel of U.S. consumers ages 13 or older. SBRnet uses a completed survey sample of between 3,500 – 5,000 depending on the length and number of questions included.

Each respondent reported on their sports fan behaviors across specific professional and college sports during the previous 12 months. In addition, respondents also reported their participation in fantasy sports, use of streaming media, gambling, eSports and gaming, usage of the most popular social media platforms, favorite sports teams, and demographics.

The data has been weighted to represent the demographic composition of U.S. households on the following characteristics: geographic region, income, household size, age, gender, race and ethnicity. The data was also weighted to the U.S. population of 276.0 million individuals ages 13 or older. All files contain raw/weighted data in an Excel format. There are custom datasets versions available.
